How to Register
SBMHA uses the Hockey Canada Online Registration System for all registrations. Click here to register for SBMHA hockey.

Choose Login in the top right corner to get started. If this is your first time registering someone for hockey, you will need to create an account. Once you create your account, you will be able to add players to your profile and choose the appropriate registration for them and pay online. If you have previously registered, you will need to log in to your account and choose the correct registration for this year.

If you have any questions or need more information about online registration, you can view one of Hockey Canada’s support videos or contact the SBMHA Registrar.

What happens after registration?
After registration closes, you can expect to hear from someone at SBMHA regarding IP skate dates (for U7 and U9) or evaluations/pre-evaluation skate dates (A program skaters).  IP skates and evaluations will take place in September. Teams are not formed until after the conclusion of the IP skates and evaluations. Once teams are formed, you should hear from a coach about an introductory team meeting. Regular season games will start in October/November (final dates TBD). If you have further questions about your child(ren)’s hockey season, please contact us.

Please Read the following information very carefully if you have a child who is wanting to try out for the AA/AAA Bruins hockey program and the AA Female Saints Program. For the Bruins program Steps are slightly different from previous years and we still have a few people registering incorrectly.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE WANTING TO TRYOUT FOR U13/U15/U18 BRUINS AA/AAA
Step 1: Go to the SBMHA Registration page here.
Step 2: Register your child for ONLY the Community Club Booster Fee required to attend AA/AAA tryouts according to their age group.  This is a $30 fee that goes straight to your local community club and is required for all people registering for hockey out of SBMHA.
Step 3: Sign up for AA/AAA tryouts through the Hockey Winnipeg Website. Hockey Winnipeg will be charging you a tryout fee. Also in the registration process there is a section titled 'Proof of Registration with Home Association.'  For this section simply upload a screenshot or photo of the receipt that you would have received from us showing you have paid your $30 community club fee.
Step 4: If your child is successful in making a AA or AAA team with the Bruins you will then be doing a full registration with them through Hockey Winnipeg.  If your child is released from AA tryouts you will then need to return to SBMHA registration page and pay the full registration fee for their age group.  During this process you will not need to add in the community club booster fee of $30 since you would have already purchased it.
FOR THE ALL FEMALE AA SAINTS PROGRAM
Registration has remained the same and these are the same steps that have been taken in previous years.
Step 1: Go the the SBMHA Registration page here
Step 2: Register your daughter for the full registration fee package according to their age group.
Step 3: You must then register for tryouts through the Winnipeg East Female Hockey website. You will be charged a fee for tryouts through them.
Step 4: If your daughter is successful in tryouts they will be placed on a Saints Roster, if they are released from tryouts they will already be enrolled in the Stars program.
If you are still in need of help or have questions before registering please email registrar@sbmha.ca
