At the 2024 SBMHA Annual General Meeting, the 2024 Luc Huberdeau Memorial Award was given to Matthew Chimilar. The award is given annually to the U11 A2 player who best demostrates hard work, dedication, and a love of hockey throughout the season.

About the Award:
On February 21, 2021, the SBMHA sadly lost one of our players after their lengthy battle with Cancer. Ten year old LUC HUBERDEAU loved hockey and loved being a Seal. At the April 18, 2021 SBMHA Board Meeting, a motion was made to create the LUC HUBERDEAU MEMORIAL AWARD to be given out annually to a U11 A2 Seals player. The motion was unanimously passed.
